Clarification on the Impact of Enabling Strict Tracking Mode in Oracle Eloqua

Hello Eloqua Community,

We are considering enabling Strict Tracking Mode and would like to better understand its impact on email tracking and website activity tracking.

Based on the documentation, our understanding is that:

  • Email click events (clickthroughs, email report metrics, contact-level click activities) continue to be tracked.
  • However, website activity after the click is not tracked until the visitor provides consent.

Could anyone confirm whether this understanding is correct?

Specifically:

  • Are email clickthroughs still fully tracked when Strict Tracking Mode is enabled?
  • If so, what tracking data becomes unavailable before consent is provided?
  • Have you experienced any impact on reporting, Lead Scoring, Campaign Attribution, Landing Pages, or Forms after enabling Strict Tracking Mode?
