Intercompany Report at First Common Parent with Security Restrictions

Summary:

In Oracle FCCS, we have multiple regions such as the UK and Spain, each with their own entities -for example, UK01 and UK02 under the parent entity UK, and SP01 and SP02 under the parent entity Spain.

Both UK and Spain roll up to a common parent, US.

Security is configured at the entity level so that UK users can only view UK entities and Spain users can only view Spain entities. Neither group has access to the US parent entity.

For intercompany transactions within the same region (e.g., UK01 and UK02), users can easily review plug account data using the out-of-the-box Intercompany report. However, for cross-region intercompany transactions (e.g., UK02 and SP01), UK users can review intercompany data at their regional parent (UK), but they cannot view eliminations that occur at the US level-the true first common parent-due to entity-level security restrictions.

Howdy, Stranger!
