How to change the way the ‘Receivables Ageing by General Ledger Account’ report is generated

As the title suggests, we are trying to change the way in which the customer ageing report is generated.
Specifically, the client’s business side has asked us to provide this report showing the ageing schedule broken down by various timeframes (quarterly, monthly, annually). However, we are unable to work out how to do this.
In contrast, we have managed to do this for supplier ageing. Specifically, we accessed the ‘Manage Ageing Periods’ task, created new views (monthly, quarterly, etc.) and then set the report’s generation parameters.
The same process does not seem to be possible for the customer aging report, is that correct?
