Can the default Process Applications and Integration Applications backends in VBCS be removed?

After moving to Oracle Integration Gen 3, we primarily use Process Automation Applications. However, every new Visual Builder application still contains the default Process Applications and Integration Applications backends. We would like to understand whether these backends are still required and what impact, if any, removing them would have.

After moving to Gen 3, we primarily use Process Automation Applications. However, I still see Process Applications and Integration Applications backends being created automatically whenever a new Visual Builder application is created.

Based on the following Oracle blog posts, my understanding is that these backends are inherited from tenant-level backend configuration and are related to Process and Integration capabilities:
