Even though Sub1 and Sub2 have sufficient on-hand inventory, Planning consumes only part of the available substitute stock and then creates a Planned Order (PLO) for the primary component (Com1) to satisfy the remaining demand, instead of fully utilizing the available substitute inventory.

Expected Behaviour

The Expected Behaviour and business requirement is to consume the primary component (Com1) inventory first, then consume the available substitute component inventory. Only if the demand is still not fully satisfied after consuming both the primary and substitutes stock should Planning create a Planned Order (PLO) for the primary component.
