Lead Run assignment REST API from VBS on Create

Hi Everyone,

We have a use case to run assignment(automatically) before the lead is converted.

We identified the REST API for running lead assignment, but we are unable to call it from VBS because the Lead ID is not available until the lead is created. Since the Before Save event cannot be used in this scenario, which event can be used for this?

Any help on this is much appreciated.
