Is it possible to call third party API in Redwood page?

Summary:

While creating a position, we need to enter a costing, jobcode, business unit details and sometime we selected a wrong code which creates a descripency in finance system.

To avoid this, we are trying to create a validation field on the position page which will hit the people soft API (all code combination source )

if it matached retrurn Yes othewise No
