Subscription Order created from OM. When device needs replacement, what happens to subscription line
Summary:
We have the below scenario.
One device is rented on monthly rental basis and created subscription order from Order management. Created 2 lines in OM. One is for shipping the device. and another line is for subscription. At customer location, the device is found defective. We have to replace the device. In this scenario, Customer will return the device via return order against sales order. What happens to the subscription (service item) line in the order.
How Oracle handles this situation. As per my understanding, once item is replaced, subscription against previous device has to be transferred to new device. I am not sure whether it is correct or not.
