Is a Rate Plan always required for Usage Charges if they come from External system

in Subscription Management

Hi Team,


We are currently building an integration to interface pre-priced orders into Oracle Order Management (OM) for subscription items, which will flow into Subscription Management.

We know that we can successfully pass static charges (one-time/recurring) directly from our external system into OM .

However, we have observed that for adding usage charges, the system requires a rate plan to be configured in Oracle Pricing, even when the usage itself is externally priced

Is there any way to directly pass externally calculated usage charges in the payload (like we do with other charges), or does the Subscription Management module strictly require a rate plan to be configured in Oracle Pricing for usage processing
