Keep GL Period Open but close the custom subledger application period

Summary:

We have built multiple FAH applications. During month-end validations we will like to keep the previous period open for couple of more days. This implies that we could have 2 periods open at the same time. However in our FAH subledger we would like to process the transactions only in the new period. So even if due to some upstream issue where previous period transaction is delayed we would like to process this data in the new open period.

Ex: GL Open Period June-2026 and July-2026

In the subledger we want an option to just keep July-2026 open, this way even if we get any June transactions this will be processed with accounting date as July-2026
