Subscription Grouping rule

Can Subscription grouping rule consolidate order lines on subscription product and give consolidated quantity under one header.
i.e. If we have 3 order lines of Product_1 , when processing the order to subscription it creates 3 subscription product lines for Product_1.
We have written a grouping rule to consolidate them and create one Product line with 3 Quantity on it.

Is is possible to do it with grouping rules , or it just cater to subscription header clubing?
