Payroll Calculation Issue for Employee on 7-Hour Shift After Paid Parental Leave Entry
Summary:
We are encountering an issue with payroll calculation for an employee.
The employee is assigned to a 7-hour work shift. However, after processing payroll, the payroll calculation is considering 8 hours instead of 7 hours.
Prior to running payroll, we entered a Paid Parental Leave absence for the employee. The absence plan has its Unit of Measure (UOM) set to Days.
We would like to understand whether the issue is related to the absence entry or the payroll calculation logic. Specifically:
- Why is payroll calculating 8 hours per day instead of the employee's assigned 7-hour shift?
- Does a Paid Parental Leave absence with UOM = Days always convert to standard hours (8 hours), regardless of the employee's work schedule?
