How to invoke an SSO enabled browser based application from within OFSC

Our OFSC environment is SSO enabled, Technicians login via SSO and Debrief tasks, we want to access an external browser based application - which is also SSO enabled all tied to Oracle's Identity Management. I wanted to check if there is any way we can take the SSO authentication within OFSC and directly login to the browser based application without the user having to enter the password a second time.

In that regard, what is the difference between checking or unchecking "Open inside Field Service" - checkbox? I tried to open a simple google.com url from within the application and ran into "This content is blocked. Contact the site owner to fix the issue." / ERR_BLOCKED_BY_CSP.
