Always Free A1 instance disabled – unable to resize to 2 OCPU / 12 GB

Hello,

My Always Free VM.Standard.A1.Flex instance in US East (Ashburn) has been disabled.

It was originally configured with:

  • 4 OCPUs
  • 24 GB RAM
  • Shape: VM.Standard.A1.Flex

I want to reduce it to 2 OCPUs and 12 GB RAM to comply with the current Always Free limits.

However, when I try to start or edit the instance, OCI returns:

Instance ocid1.instance.oc1.iad.[REDACTED] is disabled and will not accept any action requests. Please contact customer support to reenable.

Because the instance is disabled at the platform level, I cannot resize it myself.

Could an Oracle administrator please re-enable the existing instance so I can immediately change the shape to 2 OCPUs / 12 GB RAM?
