Always Free A1 Instances Disabled

Hello Oracle Team,

I am requesting assistance and escalation for my Always Free Ampere A1 instances that have been disabled following the August 18, 2026 Always Free compute limit enforcement.

I received the “Action Required: OCI Always Free Update” email on August 5, informing me that the new Always Free A1 limit would be 2 OCPUs and 12 GB of memory, effective August 18.

My tenancy currently has three existing VM.Standard.A1.Flex instances, each configured with:

  • 1 OCPU
  • 6 GB memory

Total A1 usage: 3 OCPUs / 18 GB memory

I understand that this exceeds the new Always Free limit, and I am trying to reduce my usage to comply with the new
