Can you have a net to gross result feed into a rate definition needed for absence deduction?

Hi Community,

We have a situation where we have a requirement to feed the result from a net to gross element into a derived rate definition. The derived rate is then used to calculate an unpaid absence deduction rate.

Does anyone think this possible to achieve?

My thoughts are that it isn't possible because even if the result from the gross up element can be fed into a rate definition, as gross up elements are processed separately, at the point the value is available, the absence which will have been processed in the main payroll run will already have had its deduction calculated and therefore not include the gross up result in its rate.

Howdy, Stranger!
