Can we increase the character limit on Talent Profile User-Defined fields?

Does anyone know if it's possible to increase the 1,000 character limit on Talent Profile User-Defined fields?  Our managers are requesting it to be raised to 1,500 characters, but couldn't find any documentation on how to increase the limit.  Your feedback will be appreciated!
