26C RSSP: Why cXML Detail's needed to show to user in Punchout Cart

In the 26C release of the Redwood Self Service Procurement (RSSP) page, Oracle introduced the View Punchout Cart and Additional Details During Shopping, feature. This enhancement exposes cXML details directly to the requestor. If corrections are needed, the requestor can even modify those details by editing the cXML payload.

From a consultant’s perspective, this capability is useful for reviewing and debugging issues.

However, Oracle has enabled the feature by default with no option to disable it. This raises a concern: what is the rationale for granting requestors direct access to such technical details, especially when the ability to edit payloads could lead to unintended consequences?
