Process Separately elements retro elements create negative payment error.

We ran payroll, and the bonus was paid successfully since it is processed separately.

Period 2

A backdated entry was made for Period 1 to add an additional $50 bonus, effective 01/01/2026 – 07/01/2026.

When we ran the retro payroll, the following entries were generated:

• Bonus Retro: -$200
• Bonus Retro: +$200
• Bonus: +$50

Based on the system logic, the +$200 and -$200 retro entries should offset each other, resulting in a net impact of $0. Therefore, the employee should receive only the additional +$50.

However, because these elements are configured as Process Separately, payroll attempts to process the -$200 retro entry independently
