We are looking for guidance on the most scalable and robust approach for integrating Oracle Order Management (OM) with Oracle Transportation Management (OTM) for high-volume order releases. In our business flow, Transfer Orders are created in Inventory and interfaced to OM as Internal Sales Orders. A custom OM orchestration process includes a Send Request to OTM step. The TransportationPlanning connector is currently configured with Business Event as the invocation method, with the required EIL rules also configured.

Our key concern is the expected transaction volume. In a single business scenario, approximately 14400 order lines may be released to OTM simultaneously. We are pausing all the order lines scheduled on a day and will do bulk release once users are through with the order validation. With the current business-event-based approach, this could potentially result in approximately 14400 business events being generated and processed concurrently through OIC.
