Restriction on number of skills that can be added on Skill Center Page

Our client has a major requirement on restricting the number of skills that an employee can add to the skill center page. As per our knowledge there is no functionality to restrict the number and employee can add as many skills as they want but we wanted to double confirm this if there is any chances or possibilities to do the restriction.
