How to modify Asset Hierarchy with location type inventory ?

Summary:

We have generated a Maintenance Asset from :

• the creation of a PO
• the creation of a Manufacturing order

In both scenarios, the resulting asset location is "Inventory".

We are using the Redwood UI and we aren't able to modify the hierarchy neither manually or with FBDI.

How can we modify the parent-child hierarchy for these assets while they are in an "Inventory" location type ?

Since the system is restricting the modification of the hierarchy in this case, what are the workarounds to allow hierarchy modification for assets with Inventory location type.
