Asset Location type Logic

I would like to understand how to manage the Location Type of assets.

In particular, I have 2 question:

• When I migrate assets using FBDI, I can select Location Type values such as “Unknown” or “Work Center”, but “Inventory” is not available as a selectable Location Type. If the client wants to load the actual physical location where the asset is installed, how can this be handled during migration (FBDI)? Which field should be populated to store the effective location? What would be your recommendation (if anyone has already handled this in a concrete business case)?I would really appreciate practical, experience‑based answers
