Can you use SupplierID as a simple test in Requisition approval workflow

I have been trying to get the SupplierID in as a check for Requisition Approval in the Assignees, but it is not able to compute it, and all I get is "We can't assign approvers to this requisition right now."

I have tried the following

ReqLineDimension.supplierId isn't 100000073200053 (that being the Supplier ID I have got from the system)

and even

new BigDecimal(ReqLineDimension.supplierId) isn't new BigDecimal(100000073200053), just in case the values were different formats

Has anybody managed to get an approval rule working for Supplier ID?
