Historical Changes showing employee as Last Updated By after resignation

Hi Community,

We have observed an unusual behavior following a self-service resignation.

An HR user performed an Assignment Change/Correction on an assignment. Later, the employee submitted a resignation. After the resignation was processed, the Historical Changes page and backend data now show the employee as the Last Updated By user on the earlier Assignment Change record.

Has anyone experienced similar behavior?

  • Is it expected that a resignation transaction updates existing assignment rows and changes the LAST_UPDATED_BY value?
  • How should this be interpreted from an audit perspective?
  • I have enabled ORA_PER_EMPL_DISPLAY_GT_HISTORY as per knowledge article but it didn't made any difference
