Can we transfer balances of subledgers from Primary ledger to Secondary Ledger when JERS is excluded

We are using Secondary ledger data conversion at subledger level. When we remove JERS from secondary ledger in Accounting method for specific subledger, we noticed that journal for same source is not getting transferred to SL from PL. Can we transfer balances of subledgers from Primary ledger to Secondary Ledger in this scenario?
