Redwood Maternity Leave

Hello,

I would like to understand the maternity leave for Redwood. I have turned on Redwood for absence page and I noticed the "won't return to work button" appears for Redwood. What is this button for? If it is enabled, will it trigger resignation or termination?

I am referring to Oracle document, on the highlighted item below I would like to know in what cases do I need to re-setup the maternity leave absence?
