Why Record Completion action on Redwood pages creates an assignment in an Error status?

Summary:

Below are the steps followed?

  1. Assigned Learning assignment to myself with assignment date as 16-Oct-2026 and due date as 17-Oct-2026
  2. Tried to record completion with assignment date as 16-Oct-2026 and due date also as 16-Oct-2026 (it is not accepting 17-Oct-2026), it created one more learning assignment with Error status.
    Why it did not updated the existing assignment created as part of #1 instead of creating new one?
