How do we know which monthly or weekly updates will break OTBI?

Summary: After a mandatory maintenance pack was applied over the weekend, our OTBI analysis would error until we ran Import Oracle Fusion Data Extensions for Transactional Business Intelligence then recreated the GL and Budgetary Control Balances cubes. How would we know to do that?

We run these processes after every quarterly update—along with about two dozen others. How are we to know what to run when? Documentation is vague and CCC posts seem rather subjective.
