Solution for Supplier Tax Overcharge

Summary:

We would like to understand whether Oracle Fusion provides any standard functionality or best-practice solution to handle supplier tax overcharge scenarios, where the supplier-charged tax exceeds the tax amount calculated by OneSource.

Content (please ensure you mask any confidential information):

Our client uses OneSource for tax calculation. The total tax amount is entered at the invoice header level using the Tax Control Amount. Subsequently, the Partner Transaction Extract process runs and calculates tax, creating tax lines based on the applicable location and site details.

In certain scenarios, suppliers provide an overcharged tax amount. As a result, the tax calculated by OneSource is lower than the supplier-provided tax amount entered in the Tax Control Amount field. This leads to a variance between the invoice header tax amount and the calculated tax line amounts, resulting in a Header and Line Amount Variance Hold.

Howdy, Stranger!
