Unable to Apply Prepayment to AutoInvoice Created from Sales Order

Hi,
Currently, we are facing an issue where we cannot apply a receivable prepayment to an invoice generated via AutoInvoice from a sales order. Are there any setups that need to be configured first, or features that must be enabled? Please advise.
