Work Item Ownership

 We are currently implementing Advanced Collection, and one of the tasks i am looking into at the moment is re-assigning work items, in the case of holidays/sickness etc.

I can manually re-assign items using Collections HTML Administrator, Ownership, Work Item Ownership and this works fine. Unfortunately re-assigning the items using this technic requires someone to do this on a regular basis. Is there any way in which the system can be set so that any new work items can automatically be transfered to another collector for a specific period of time?
