Contenets of approved notification

Hi,

 I need to know how can we read the contents of an aproved notification, infact I have approved one leave notification from my work list but now i want to read back the effective dates of that particular notification, but when i open that notifications it says

  1. This notification has been closed with the result: Approve
  2. You cannot perform an action because the notification is closed.

How can i read the contents of such notifications. can I view such information from Application or from database?
