Capturing the Response

 Hi All,
Is it possible to capture the Response of notification.

We've attached looup as result type to notification and when user clicks on approve or reject i need to capture what he choosed then and there. If approve then I want to be sure certain respond fields he's filled in notification, if not then i'll show them error.

I am able to show them error, but irrespective of what he choosed. So I want to restrict this valdation only when he chosses approve.

Please suggest.
Let me know if i need to elaborate more.
