Issue while Importing legacy invoices with TAX lines
We are implementing Oracle Apps OBA 12.1.1 (with India localization) at our client. We want to import their invoices to oracle using SQL loader. Initially we were trying to import invoices with taxes (lines type ITEM and TAX) where we were getting error while going to distributions or validate invoice
"APP-SQLAP-97731 The system cannot generate distributions because tax calculation failed due to following error. An unexpected error has occured. Pl contact your system administrator. "
other error we were getting is

Solution given for first error was not for our version. So someone suggested that in India localizations R 12.1.1. we do not need to import the TAX lines. Taxes are NOW calculated on the basis of TAX CATEGORY and TAX RATE CODE at the invoice line level. So we decided to change our approach and imported only ITEM lines. Once we validate invoice from invoice work bench, tax lines would be generated by oracle. But we can not validate every invoice imported by going to invoice work bench manually.
