Is defining a separate Business Group mandatory to apply India Localization patch for an instance us

 Hi,

We are using an instance that is currently being used by the entities US, Canada and Mexico. We plan to rollout this instance to operations in India. We do not use any of the HR modules.

Is it mandatory / good practice to define a new Business Group (B.G) for India and then apply the India Localization patch?

Does India Localization work at the B.G level?

Any advantages of defining a separate B.G?

Any inputs appreciated.
