IL Tax Year setup

Hi, We are about to setup an India location in our 11.5.10.2 instance using Indian Localizations. We have a query about what the tax year should be. Our set of books year runs from JAN to DEC since that is the financial year we have adopted for our India entity. However we understand that the excise year for the RG registers should be from Apr to Mar. The Oracle setup documents says the IL tax year should match the set of books year. How do we overcome this apparent conflict?
