Path of workflow wft files

What is the path of the wft files in the database?

If I need to take a copy of a wft file from the database (without using Workflow Builder), in which path do I need to look for the wft? Are all the wft files saved in the same path or in the respective applicaiton tops? I'm looking for the HRSSA.wft file.

If I copy this to my local machin and make some changes; can i just copy it back to this path?

Any help is much appreciated.
