Directory Server - Audit log oddity

I've noticed on some of my DSEE 6.3.1 boxes that the audit logs do not include the entire value for attributes such as usercertificate and certificaterevocationlist. Instead there is just the first line of the attribute value. Is this normal and does it depend upon whether the attribute was set thru replication or directly to the server instance? In comparison, our DS 5.2 systems include the entire attribute value for binary subtyped attributes in the audit logs.
