Workflow mail notifications are not sent to user

 Hi ,

we are facing some problems with the workflow  notifications.

Users are not receiving the mail notification ( outlook) , although the mailer is up and running, when i look at the log i see it is processing old dated notifications and it  never catches the current date.

Can any one help me here if there is any stuff which needs to checked to move things faster?
