[Deposit] Using One Payment Group to Apply Multiple Payments in a Deposit

There was an inquiry on an SR regarding Payment Application. We're sharing it here in the community so other people with similar question can view it:

QUESTION:
Is there a way for all payments in a deposit to be posted as one payment group? Example if there are 10 payments in one deposit, and 2 items each, all 20 items forming part of one payment group when the payment is applied?
