Partial receipt of a shipment in RMS - Inventory behaviour

hi ,

question from a customer. any advise would be great.

we have encountered a situation whereby we have raised a shipment in RMS (as a result of a DC system reporting a despatch to us), but where this shipment ultimately gets received at the destination location in multiple batches.

 

This happens in scenarios where a.) the physical shipment is split by third party logistics en-route, and b.) where Coles DC systems do not have the capability to report on ‘physical loads’, rather give us information about what has been picked and will ‘in theory’ be despatched.

 

When a partial receipt is registered in RMS against a shipment, we’ve noticed some unusual system behaviour:
