Troubleshooting Vertex O Series - How does a user enable and obtain a Vertex generated trace file?

Providing the same information in the community for your convenience:
This document is intended to provide users with another troubleshooting action to take when tackling a Vertex/PeopleSoft issue.  PeopleSoft will create SoapCalc*.txt logs that allow you to view the xml that we send to Vertex and the xml that is sent back from Vertex. (See <Document: 886482.1> for information regarding SoapCalc*.txt)  Vertex generated trace files are helpful when more information is needed to determine whether the issue reported is due to Vertex or PeopleSoft.

Obtaining Vertex trace files requires the below actions:
