Problems with Oracle Data Provider on x64 systems (windows)

  Hi,
I have a problem with 'Oracle Data Provider for .NET 10.1.0.4' on Windows Server 2003 SP2 x64 (it works fine on my 32-bit system).

First at all I installed the 32-bit client on my 64-bit windows, but I can't connect to my database instance. The error message is 'ORA-12154: tns could not resolve the connect identifier specified' . The entries in the 'tnsnames.ora' are correct and 'tnsping' works great.

After that I tried the 64-bit client 10.2.0.3. I can configure the Oracle Provider using the NET MANAGER. A 'tnsping' on my database instance works fine. But if I try to connect to the instance, I receive the error message

Howdy, Stranger!
