Anyone using AR to take donations?

 Hi,

We are currently using PeopleSoft (8.8) for various accounting modules.

We're looking into using PeopleSoft for receiving tax deductible donations and printing receipts. Is anyone using PeopleSoft for this? If so, are you using the AR module or something else?

Our data arrives in Excel spreadsheets.

Accounting have expressed an interest in NOT creating a separate customer record for each donation, but rather using a dummy customer id. Does anyone think this is workable?

I feel the receipt can be generated as a Report no matter where in PeopleSoft we store the information, but we will need to print the address info, as well as a couple of other description-type fields, so there needs to be room to store these.
