Trying to install OID.

This probably belongs in an application server forum, but I don't see one.

I need to know what I need to download and install to get OID to work.  I've been reading all the installation guides, forums, blogs, etc and just find myself even more confused.  Especially when I see a statement that says download from www.oracle.com/technology/xxx/xxx/xxx/xxx and when I get there, there are 85 possible things to download and none of them say anything about OID or Application Server.

OK, there I've vented.

Is there a current set of documentation that instructs how to install OID?
