how to integrate OVD as trusted source for OIM 11.1.1.3?

I would like to use OVD as a trusted source for my OIM 11.1.1.3 installation.  Can anyone advise me on how I set up this integration.  I found the documentation for setting up the ldap synchronization option but that is not what I want to do.
