Retek RDF 13.1 & QTP

Heard that Automation of Retek Regression testscripts using HP's QTP is not possible in Retek RDF 13.1 for forecasting. We were told that QTP & RDF 13.1 thick client are not feasible.

Is it true ? Is there any documentation for the same?

If QTP cannot be used, what other tool can be used ?
