Success stories gaining ground with Diagnostic Framework (DFW) tools

  There is one diagnostic tool that's gaining ground with customers and engineers these days and this is the Diagnostic Framework, also known as DFW Plug-ins. In case you didn't know, this DFW framework has been around for a while and while the number of plug-ins have been few and far between, that situation is changing rapidly with more and more plug-ins being developed.

PeopleTools delivers Diagnostics Framework base classes in an application package called PT_DIAGNOSTICS, which consists of a collection of application classes as well methods which can be used to develop application packages for the Diagnostics Framework. After implementing and registering the application package within the Diagnostics Framework, the application package becomes a diagnostic plug-in.  Today, GSC has released a good number of plug-ins, and now maintains a central catalog which you can download from My Oracle Support.  Look for KM document:
