Issues with SRSS, SRWC

We use SunRay1 Thin Clients to log into multiple Windows Servers using Smart Cards and SRSS via Kiosk Mode. This setup works well, we even have USB redirection working on our Windows 2008 Server.

Now the issue is we want to have the Thin Clients double as CAC card readers to pass certificates to secure military sites. We are trying to use the Middleware ActivClient 6.2 x64 Bit on our Windows Server 2008 x64 R2 however in the device manager, there is no listing of a "Smart Card Reader" node. Is this an issue with SRWC? Why can we use the thin clients to log in no problem, but once your logged in, the Windows Machine cannot see that there is a SunRay Thin Client connected and thus use it as a CAC reader?
